This race is deeply personal for our family. We are running in loving memory of our dad, Jack McCarthy, who we lost in September 2021 after an 18-month battle with ALS. This year marks our family’s fifth year running the Harpoon 5-Miler in his honor, carrying his memory with us and standing alongside all families affected by ALS.
