Registration Info 2019


Registration Opens: Due to COVID-19 we have delayed the registration of the 2020 Harpoon 5-Miler. Please sign-up for our email list for the most up to date information. 

Registration Closes: When all race spots are filled.


RETURNING in 2020! Runners will be accepted into the 2020 Harpoon 5-Miler on a first come, first served basis. To run the race, you need to be one of the first 5,000 runners to sign up. 


PLEASE NOTE: You will claim your spot in the race when you submit your payment information. You are NOT guaranteed a spot when you begin the registration process - ONLY when you submit your payment and complete your registration. This means that it is possible for the race to sell out WHILE you are filling in your registration information.

If registration fills up while you are in the middle of attempting to register, you will not be permitted to complete your registration. This is NOT a glitch in the site's technology. It means that 5,000 runners submitted their payment and completed their registration before you did, and the race is full. We will not be able to accommodate you after that time.  

So make sure to complete your registration information quickly and submit your payment information as soon as possible. Check out our tips for a quick and easy registration here.


5-Miler Race Fee is $60 and includes:

  • Entrance into the Harpoon 5-Miler
  • Commemorative Race Day Shirt from Reebok
  • Post-race party at Harpoon Brewery
  • 2 beer tickets (Friends of Harpoon will receive a 3rd beer ticket)
  • Post-race meal 
  • Donation to The Angel Fund
  • Lots of fun with our corporate partners
  • Dance party with DJ Steve Greco!

Frequently Asked Registration Questions



Wait, I don't get it. What's does it mean that Registration is first come, first served?

It's pretty simple: Harpoon only has 5,000 spots in the race, and they will be given to the first 5,000 people that register. And when the race is full, it's full! 


Can I run as part of a team?

Yes! It’s tradition here at Harpoon to run in teams of 6, called “6 Packs”! Find out ALL about teams here. 


 What happened to the Race Lottery?

If you ran with us for the past few years, you’ll remember that we conducted a random lottery to select who would run in the race. We decided to switch to a “first come, first served" or "rush" model in 2018, to simplify the process, and it was a huge success. We wanted to give you the opportunity for your fate to be in your hands!


If I don’t register in time, will there be a waitlist?

No, we do not keep a waitlist for this race. So make sure you’re one of the first people to register.
